Member-only story

Me, holding a Kobo in 2011 or 2012, whilst wearing a TARDIS necklace.

It’s May 1, 2024. May Day. How appropriate.

First, I noticed something about my hand today. I noticed it was ever-so-slightly less clenched than it’s been in a long, long time. I’m actually typing this with both hands, elbows jammed tight to my torso, the left one still jutting out a bit now and then. I can actually type with the pinkie of my left hand. It’s not perfect, and you would not believe the effort it takes simply to write these words using all my fingers, while trying to sit up straight, knees in alignment with my toes, shoulders over hips, elbows tucked to my sides. And still breathing.

Second, well, never mind about second. I’m just going to breath for a while.

Me, again, many years later.
