Today’s recommended reading is Less: Accomplishing More by Doing Less.
My book review is for Less: Accomplishing More by doing Less by Marc Lesser. No pun intended, I assume. I think he actually mentions that in the book. Be that as it may, I think it’s a good self-help book.
I recently did a review of Essentialism and it reminded me very much of that. But the thing I liked about it was that he also incorporated notions of Zen and Buddhism and things of that nature. Now, that appeals to me. It might not appeal to you, but it’s really not a very long book.
That’s another thing I liked about it, speaking of less. Because, you know, he keeps it concise. He stays right on point. The other thing I wanted to mention was that he poses a series of questions to ask yourself about what you’re doing that might be keeping you busy in ways that are not productive and how you can view some of your own feelings and actions in a calm, rational state. Sort of evaluate what you do and apply yourself accordingly to the most important things. It sounds very much like Essentialism, but it’s a shorter book. Let’s put it that way.
So I thought it was very good and I would recommend it to anybody who feels overwhelmed or too busy. So with that, I’ll just say that’s it for now and I’ll talk to you later.
