Hi I’m going to review this book Crowdfunding, no Crowdsourcing. Sorry, I always, yeah, Crowdsourcing for Filmmakers by Richard Botto. RB. Yeah, this is a really, I would show you the cover, but it doesn’t … it’s nice, you can see the hands. That’s nice. Right?

Anyway, be that as it may, this is a great book. This is a really great book. Everybody who does business on the internet should read it. <laugh> Period, The end. That’s my review. I mean, seriously, five stars and well done.

I haven’t quite finished it unfortunately, and I’m running out of time and I don’t like to abuse the library system, so even though they’re not charging me any fees at this point for late returns, I do hope to get this back to them in time, and it’s a great book. It’s just, crowdsourcing is a way of essentially finding people who are copacetic with your brand when you come right down to it.

People who want to be part of what you’re doing and want to support it. And there’s a real lesson in here for all of us. For authors, for anyone who wants to create a group, an organization, a book club, anything. I mean it just, it’s just, it’s for filmmakers, but you can take the advice that’s in here and apply it to lots of things.

That’s what I’ll say about that, and as somebody who aspires to someday perhaps make a film of some consequence, maybe small consequence, but maybe some consequence, I really do appreciate this book. And I think I may have to buy my own copy, my own actual copy, which if I ever run into Mr. Botto, I shall have to ask him to sign. So I hope he doesn’t mind. Most authors don’t. Most authors usually like being asked to sign books. I mean, I know. I do.

Anyway, so having said that, that’s my review. Five stars and great book. Thank you.
