Hi, everyone! Well, I had an idea what to do today. More random thoughts for the new year. And it just happened to coincide with something I saw on a blog that I like to read.

The blog is Lemon Shark, by the way, and the blogger is, Sarah Brentyn. And she normally writes flash fiction. So her blog posts are usually pretty short. Well, this one was pretty long and it was about One Word for 2021. And she does this every year. It’s a, it’s a ritual for her. And I have my rituals, too. I do, um, what do you call it? Towel Day every year. And now I seem to be developing the habit of doing an end-of-the-year video. I don’t know. I guess we all have our own rituals, but actually I don’t know what this has to do with anything, but what it has to do with, is that it (“it” being Sarah’s blog post), this was a much longer blog post than I normally expect from her.

And I was like, wow. And, but the one word she came up with was “allow”, and I thought that’s a great word. Allow, just allow. Now, having said that, let me give you a list of words that I came up with that I am so sick of hearing that I would just sometimes like to strangle somebody. Myself, probably.

Resilient, innovative, Zoom, Zoom, fatigue meme, engagement, influencer.

Okay. Those were just things I scribbled down off the top of my head and it doesn’t even include COVID-19, coronavirus, death toll.

And the other words I’m a little bit tired of are mindful, which makes me think I should probably change the name on that this damn website I have. Anyway, take a breath and emotional IQ.

Okay. On top of which this may be the last time I ever used the word trump in a sentence. That’s it. Mic drop. I’m out.

Talk to you later!

PS: Sorry, I’m also sick of moving GIFs, but I can’t resist them. 🙂
