This is a reprint of a recent post I put up about Towel Day!

And is it ever too late to celebrate the life and works of Douglas Adams? :) I should think not.

So … before May ends … let’s do this one more time!

Happy Towel Day!

Hello. Well, as I’m sure you all know, it’s Towel Day. So in honor of Towel Day, here I am with my towel and hope you all have yours. Don’t panic if you don’t have it. I’m sure there’s one nearby. So in any case, I thought what I would do is read a little something I happened to write the other day while I was sitting in a cafe. This is called “Unplanned” because this whole thing was unplanned. I did not plan to write this or to read it, really, but I will, anyway.

“People at one end of the cafe, me at the other. That’s me, watching. Not really. I was daydreaming, smiling as if I’d found the answer. Then I realized Towel Day was coming. Surely I hadn’t found that answer. No, I wasn’t in England and it didn’t not add up to 42. So the Vogons weren’t coming. Should I be relieved?”
